Flaring Tool Packing Lists: A Distributor’s Carton Checklist
A flaring tool quote is easier to compare when the model, size system and carton data are recorded separately. For a small distributor placing a mixed order, a single total quantity does not explain which versions will arrive or how they will be identified in the warehouse.
1. Keep the model and size system on every order line
Write the full model suffix rather than a general description such as “45-degree flaring tool.” For example, the Torchmark catalogue lists CT-203A for 5/8, 3/4, 7/8, 1 and 1-1/8 inch, while CT-203M lists 16, 19, 22 and 28 mm. The metric list does not include 25 mm. Do not derive one version’s coverage by rounding the other version’s dimensions.
Check the CT-203A / CT-203M product specifications and our CT-103 versus CT-203 substitution checklist before approving a replacement model.
2. Separate catalogue packing from the final packing list
The 2026 catalogue lists CT-203 packing as 10 pieces per carton, gross/net weight 16/15 kg and carton dimensions 31.5 × 17 × 14.5 cm. These are catalogue references. Ask the supplier to confirm the final figures when the packaging, assortment or order configuration changes.
Net and gross weight have different purposes: gross weight includes the packing. Do not treat either figure as the weight of a single tool. A carton count also does not establish the minimum order quantity.
3. Make mixed cartons easy to check
Request an order-line list showing model, size system, pieces per model, carton numbers and pieces in each carton. Where a carton contains multiple models, ask for the allocation inside that carton rather than relying on a single outer label. Confirm whether the warehouse needs separate cartons or whether mixed cartons are acceptable.
Before shipment, compare the agreed purchase order with the packing list. Check that individual pack labels and carton marks distinguish the inch and metric versions. Any substitution should be confirmed before dispatch, including the exact size coverage.
4. Treat freight estimates as estimates
For an initial volume calculation, convert all three carton dimensions to metres and multiply them. Multiply by the expected carton count only when those cartons use the same dimensions. Final transport requirements may also depend on pallets and the forwarder’s rules. Do not interpret a catalogue carton volume as a guaranteed freight charge or container loading quantity.
5. Send a complete quotation request
Include model quantities, destination, tube sizes, packaging requirements and any branding request. Our MOQ is 500 pieces, with mixed orders available; confirm the allocation between models in the quotation. Samples are charged, and sample freight is refunded after an order is placed. Typical lead time is 15–45 days, subject to the confirmed order.
For an inch/metric ordering example, see our company’s size-mismatch guide. Model and packing figures above are sourced from Ningbo Torchmark HVAC Tools Catalogue 2026, page 5. They are not independent performance-test results.
