TR-EER45 45° Eccentric Tube Reamer (Internal Deburring Tool for HVAC & Plumbing)

If you cut copper, aluminum or mild-steel tube on a jobsite, you already know the next step: the cut edge leaves a burr on the inside that has to come off before the fitting seats. The TR-EER45 is the reamer we sell to HVAC contractors, plumbing wholesalers and refrigeration techs who want one tool that handles 6 mm to 54 mm OD without swapping blades. It's made in our Ningbo workshop, ships from Ningbo port, and the OEM price has not moved more than 4 % in the last 18 months because the bill of materials is that stable.

This page is for buyers comparing sources — what the tool is, what it isn't, the real specs from the production line, and what you'll pay if you put your logo on it.

What the tool actually does

The TR-EER45 is an internal deburrer, not an external one. You insert the conical blade into the cut tube end, twist by hand, and the HSS edge shaves the inner burr flat in roughly two seconds for 1/2" and 3/4" copper. It does not chamfer the outside — that needs a different tool. We made it with a 45° blade angle to match the most common copper-fitting seat geometry (SAE 45° flare, used across North American HVAC); the blade is replaceable when it dulls, but on a typical jobsite one blade lasts 800-1200 cuts before it needs a swap.

The body is anodized aluminum, knurled for grip when hands are wet or oily. Inside is a brass guide bushing that keeps the blade centered so you don't egg the cut. We tested it on 22,000 cuts in March 2026 on a pilot batch (lot 2026-03-A) — failure rate was 0.4 %, all of them bushing loosening, all of them caught at the QC bench before packing.

Material & manufacturing

The blade blanks come from a supplier in Jiangsu who has shipped to us for six years — we audit them once a year and the M2 cert comes with every lot. Heat treat is done in-house: vacuum furnace, 1,180 °C austenitizing, oil quench, double temper at 560 °C, then a final cryo treatment at -196 °C for 4 hours to stabilize retained austenite. The 58-60 HRC range is checked on a Rockwell tester, three readings per blade, and any reading below 57 or above 61 gets rejected before assembly.

The aluminum body is extruded in Zhejiang, cut to length, then CNC-milled on a 5-axis DMG MORI in our Ningbo workshop. Knurling is done on a dedicated lathe; anodizing is outsourced to a Ningbo supplier who holds the RoHS compliance doc on file. Final assembly is on a single line with torque-controlled blade seating (0.6 N·m, calibrated monthly).

QC tests we run before packing

  1. Hardness: 3-point Rockwell C on every batch of 200 blades.

  2. Cutting test: each tool deburrs 5 cuts on 22 mm copper tube; if any cut leaves visible burr the tool is pulled.

  3. Bushing fit: gauge pin check, no wobble greater than 0.05 mm at 50 mm depth.

  4. Grip torque: 5 N·m pull test on the knurl-to-body joint.

  5. Visual: 100 % under a 40 W LED ring light at 30 cm distance.

We're not ISO 9001 certified (the certification cost would land in your unit price, and we'd rather keep the tool honest). What we do have is the QC log for every batch going back to 2023, and you can request any batch's log when you order.

Standards this tool is built against

  • SAE J533 — 45° flare fitting geometry (the angle our blade matches).

  • ASME B16.22 — copper tube dimensions we test-fit against.

  • ASTM B280 — refrigeration tube used in our cutting trials.

  • EN 1057 — European copper tube standard we cross-check on EU shipments.

Who buys this and where it ends up

The buyers we see most often: HVAC wholesalers supplying residential contractors in North America (US south-west HVAC retrofit is a steady pull every spring), refrigeration service techs in Brazil and Mexico, plumbing distributors for the EU marine-yacht refit market, and one Australian 4WD-outfitter who puts them in their service kits. We've shipped to 19 countries in the last 12 months — the top five are the US, Brazil, Germany, Australia, and the UAE.

If you're cataloging this for a B2B portal, the practical cross-reference points are: the Imperial-Eastman 750 series, the Yellow Jacket 75060, and the Hilmor ER45. We're not saying it's the same tool — we're saying the spec envelope is the same and the price is lower because we cut out two distribution tiers.

OEM & private label

We do OEM. The four OEM levers you actually have control over:

  • Body color: matched to any Pantone solid-coated code, minimum 1,000 pcs.

  • Logo: laser-engraved on the grip, accepts AI / PDF / PNG (vector preferred); minimum 1,000 pcs.

  • Retail box: 4-color CMYK print on 350 gsm art card, minimum 1,000 pcs.

  • Master carton label: 5-ply corrugated with your shipping marks, free of charge.

Sample policy: we send 3 free samples by DHL at your account (USD 35 courier fee), lead time 3 days. Custom-color samples take 7 days and cost USD 85 per set — that fee comes off your first production order.

Direct factory

This tool is made on one production line in our Ningbo workshop. Three people work the line, two QC, one packing. The line is not shared with any other product, which means if you order 10,000 pcs in March, you get 10,000 pcs in March — not "we'll prioritize you."

How to order

Three ways to start, pick whichever fits how you work:

  1. Email RFQ: akira@longrunhardware.com — include SKU, quantity, OEM specs. We reply in 12 hours.

  2. WhatsApp: +86 137 7724 9921 — fastest for sample requests and stock checks.

  3. Contact form: Quick quote form — for buyers who want a written record without leaving their email client.

What to include in your first RFQ: SKU (TR-EER45), quantity, blank or OEM, destination port, and target delivery date. If you're not sure on quantity, send the annual volume and we'll suggest the most cost-efficient batch size based on your shipping window.

12-hour SLO: every RFQ gets a real reply from a person who has handled the order before. We don't run an autoresponder and we don't put a sales-rep-on-paper who disappears at the sample stage.

If you only stock one internal deburrer, stock this one. The 6-54 mm range covers 95 % of the cuts anyone makes on residential HVAC, refrigeration service, and marine plumbing. Larger tube ends above 54 mm need a different tool (we sell the TR-EER80 for 54-80 mm and a heavy-duty deburring bit for the rare 80 mm+ job).
